About the Course

English Proficiency for Truck Drivers is a self-paced online course designed to help professional drivers improve their English communication skills for everyday trucking situations. About the Creator

Hello! I’m Dr. Cheryl Dalton, a retired nurse with more than 45 years of experience and a certified adult educator. For the past six years, I’ve taught English to adults in both group and individual online classes, including TOEFL preparation and tutoring. I have many friends who are professional truck drivers and have seen how stronger English skills can make their work safer, easier, and less stressful. That inspired me to create this course — to help drivers build confidence, understand everyday road language, and communicate clearly with dispatchers, customers, and DOT officers.
